The heigh-adjustable support for a vehicle seat, can be regulated between a fixed and a mobile position. The support consists of at least one plate (3) joined to one of the seat parts (1). The other seat floor part (2) is joined to a toothed sector pivot mounted on the plate (3). A catch on a lever pivot-mounted on the plate (3) engages in the cogs of the cogged part, to clock the seat in position. A plate (3) is fixed each side of the seat frame (4), and the toothed parts pivot mounted on a bar (5) and joined by another bar (8) supported by the floor (2). Two levers are mounted on one bar (12), with one of the levers having an extension (15) in the form of an operating arm with spring.
