Roller blind locking mechanism - has chain laminar, curved and interlocking links from drum to blind and locking in counter curve

The roller blind locking mechanism prevents vertical float of the blind (2) in the operational position. Its interlocking links (3') are of similar laminar and rigid circular arc form, forming a chain between the winding drum (1) and the blind head. The inter-link hinges (6) permit limited counter-articulation, i.e. in the opposite sense required for winding onto the drum (1) giving a locking effect when thrust is applied through the blind. The arrangement improves installation tolerances and a coil spring (4') applies traction along the chain the ensure that counter-rotation results from lifting the blind. The hinge details also provide for a limited longitudinal extension of the chain, and include springs which maintain the links at their maximum spacing. The links may be of a cramp iron form joined by pins, have a radius of 20 mm radius to wind onto the drum, and obtain a radius of approx. 120 mm in counter-articulation.
