Plaster tile, mfr. for interior decoration - with expanded core and hard plaster skin providing high thermal and acoustic insulation properties

Plaster tile for mfr. of interior walls esp. for partition in buildings e.g. for scholars, businesses, hospitals etc. consists of a core of expanded plaster surrounded by a layer of hard plaster. The tile is made by casting the core of expanded plaster into a mould the chambers of which have fixed interior cheeks the thickness of which corresponds to that of the hard plaster. The size of the mould chambers in them increased by removing the cheek and the space vacated is filled with hard plaster. After setting the tile is demoulded and dried to a moisture content of about 2%. The tiles can be made light and with high thermal and acoustic insulation properties.
