The telemetry system incorporates interference and error detection suppression. The telemetry is pulse code modulation based and removes the need for a quartz oscillator at both the transmitter and receiver. The system is equally applicable to infra-red, radio or TV use. The transmitting oscillator may be either LC, RC or LR based, control of the frequency being by two counters measuring the receiver quartz oscillator output. The error suppression circuit utilises a memory, parallel fed from both counters, the memory output being processed by a series of NAND gate circuits.
