Animal harness, esp. collar, contg. slow release insecticide - absorbed into support in gas-permeable tube within gas-permeable harness

Animal harness, e.g. a collar, contg. an insecticide (I) in slow release form comprises a gas-permeable, water-impermeable flexible tube contg. a support impregnated with (I). The tube is enclosed in the harness which is itself made of gas-permeable material, e.g. leather or polyethylene. The support is e.g. powdered pumice, plastic fibre cord, natural wax, stearic, paraffin, a gelled colloidal material etc.. The flexible tube is pref. of perforated plastics, e.g. of low density polyethylene. The harness performs its usual functions. (I) is protected against dilution or degradation e.g. by rainwater or sweat.
