The packaging (1) may contain one or more reels for continuous feeding of a machine which uses the wrapping tape. It has a bottom and a cover with parallel opposed sides and each part has an opening in one wall. There are at least two flat elements or flanges, one of which has a central hole to receive the shaft of the reel, the reel being held between the two flanges. The bottom, cover and flanges, when assembled, co-operate to form rectangular parallel sided packaging. The openings serve as a guide for passage of the wrapping tape in a continuous band.
