Ventilator blower assembly for underground railway tunnel - has funnel-shaped wall forming diffusion chamber and intake

The blower arrangement is esp. for use in underground railway tunnels. A first stationary funnel-shaped wall (6) extending upwards from the hub (2), is located symmetrical to the vertical blower axis (X-X), and forms a diffusion chamber (10) for the sucked-out air. A second stationary wall (8) has a lower conical section (8b) below the blower and co-axial to it, to compress the air towards the blower blades. An upper funnel-shaped section (8a) forms the outer wall of the diffusion chamber.
