Two parallel horizontal rollers (2, 3) may support the pipe and effect its rotation, being driven at uniform speeds by a reduction motor (4). The inter-axis of the rollers may be adjusted to suit the dia of the pipe, the drive incorporating an extendable chain or sleeve transmission. Cutting may be effected by a circular saw (13) on a pivoting arm (11) and mounted on a carriage (9) traversing an 'I' section rail (8). The carriage may be displaced by a rack and pinion or a screw, and may include a tool (20) for chamfering the cut edge.
