Antilipaemic zinc nicotinate - having fewer side-effects than nicotinic acid and other nicotinate(s)

Zinc nicotinate of formula (I) is new. (I) is prepd. by reaction of nicotinic acid, soluble salts or esters with ZnO, An(OH)2 or a water-soluble zinc salt. (I) is an antilipaemic agent without the side-effects experienced with nicotinic acid and other salts.
