The system is for holding an articulated railway wagon with two half chassis frames in a curved sector. The adjacent ends are hinged together, while the opposite ends carry couplings and buffer units, and a sensor element for the wagon end's approach to another wagon. There is an elastic resistance device (7), affording resistance in the face of a change in the angle formed by the longitudinal axes (10, 20) of the two half frames (1, 2) occurring in the course of the curve. A further element gradually makes the resistance device operative and is regulated by the sensor element (8) in proportion to the degree of proximity.
