Weed clearing machine for waterways - has rotary cutters and rotating bladed disc which ejects weeds from water surface onto banks

An arm which can be folded by hydraulic jacks carries a shaft driven by a motor. The shaft carries a disc on which two cutters are pivotally mounted to be thrown out by centrifugal force. A lower disc is carried by bearings at the end of the shaft so as to rotate freely relative to the shaft. The disc has blades. A centrifugal clutch engages to drive the disc when the shaft speed attains 800 to 1000 R.P.M. The disc, raised to water level, ejects weeds and brushwood from the water on to the banks.
