Rigid cellular PVC compsn. contains as flame retardant a mixt. of Zn borate, to control the nineties of HCC generation, and a synergic association of Cu cyanate and Sb2O3 to reduce formation of benzenic and then aromatic cpds. during pyrolytic degradation of the PVC. Pref. comprsn. 100 pts rigid PVC, 0.01-2 esp. 0.2 pts. Zn borate, 0.1-0.5 esp. 0.2 pt. Cu cyanate, 0.1-1 esp. 0.5 pt. Sb2O3 and usual fillers blowing agents and additions.
