Determination of creatine kinase isoenzyme(s) - using immobilised isoenzyme and a marked specific antibody associated with an enzyme

Creatine kinase isoenzymes are detected and determined in a liq. sample. A creatine kinase isoenzyme, immobilised on a water-insoluble support is incubated with a specific antibody for the isoenzyme sub-unit which is associated covalently with an enzyme, and also with the sample of liq. contg. the isoenzyme which is to be determined. The insoluble support is sepd., and the activity of the enzyme associated with the antibody fixed on the insoluble support is determined, giving a measure of the isoenzyme sub-unit present in the sample. Used for diagnosis of specific disorders, such as myocardial infarctus.
