The equipment secures a panel-type components, e.g. a pane of glass in a frame. It comprises a number of devices fitting between panel (17) and frame (24), each of them consisting of two components (22, 27) initially in line, and then moved in relation to each other to vary the overall thickness. Each componentn can be of rectangular section, and thin in relation to its length, and with two large faces gradually convering in the lengthwise direction. The outer faces of the two components are parallel and bear against panel and frame, while the inner ones are at the same angle and bear against each other.
