The instrument can be used in cameras, approach projecting devices, and level indicators. It has an optical system emitting a light ray to the target, and a receiving optical system at a distance from the axis of the former, receiving light reflected from the target. The receiving optical system has a greater aperture than the emitting system. Each lens of the receiving optical system (15, 16) has a hole eccentric w.r.t. its optical axis, in which an opaque tube is inserted, containing the emitting optical system.
