1511480 Vehicle lamps LUCAS INDUSTRIES Ltd 17 Sept 1975 [16 Oct 1974] 44791/74 Addition to 1148761 Heading F4R A vehicle headlamp unit is adjustably secured to a support 12 by means of a screw 18 which is rotatably mounted in the rim 16 of the unit and engages a nut 22 slidable in a sleeve 24 secured to the support. The nut, which is formed at one end of a sleeve 23, is urged away from the support by a spring 28, and a rotatable cam acting on the sleeve 23 moves the nut and screw against the force of the spring to give a coarse adjustment of the headlamp position, rotation of the screw giving fine adjustment. The cam is rotated through a Bowden cable or the like by a knob on the dashboard, the cams of a pair of headlamps being interconnected.
