WATER TREATING METHOD BY OYSTER SHELLS DIPPING FILTER BED

PURPOSE:To cheaply and safely purify contaminated water, by removing organic matter passing through the contaminated water using oyster shells as filter material and next, removing remaining organic matter by treating the supernant liquid using the oyster shells filter material after setting and separating the sludge. CONSTITUTION:Contaminated water is introduced into the first dipping filter bed formed by filling up the oyster shells 3 from the first original water vessel 1 through the constant volume pump 2 and a large part of BOD, SS and ammonia are remove and exhaled. Next, the above treated water is introduced into the precipitation vessel 5 and the sludge proliferated by BOD, is settled and separated. Then, the supernatant liquid is sent to the second dipping filter bed 8 by the constant volume pump 6 and remaining organic matter is decomposed by passing through the oyster shells 7 again and also, nitrogen component is nitrified and denitrated. By the above construction, the contaminated water is purified simply, cheaply and nearly perfect by a small size apparatus.
