PURPOSE:Starch is combined with a small amount of aliphatic amino acids when necessary, with a thickener such as sodium alginate, dextrin or casein to make bait of solid or powder form that can be readily fitted to hooks. The resulting bait is fitted to hooks by using a medium that can directly stick to hooks. The bait is, for example, in a paste form packed in a tube and applied directly to hooks from the tube or the solidified bait is molded into cubir or pills, which are packed in a bag 5. The selection of the kinds of amino acids can changes the suitable kinds of fish attracted and the fitting of bait is very simple.
