ASTERISM PHASE PROTRACTOR FOR WESTERN ASTROLOGY

PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for calculation as well as obtain assuredly the asterism phase among the heavenly bodies, by using the protractor which measures the angle formed by the heavenly bodies or the sensitive points to each other for production of the celestial map used for the Western astrology. CONSTITUTION:Both reference line 2 and asterism phase 4 are drawn onto main body 1 of the protractor for Western astrology, thus forming center 3. And in case the heavenly body or the sensitive point which is desired to be measured exists in the celestial map, the reference line is fitted accurately onto the heavenly body in order to obtain asterism phase 4 between the heavenly body and other ones. These phases 4 are referred to as 4a-4i, and then the angle change caused by various effects is obtained. Also pin 6 containing a projection is attached to center 3 of body 1 to facilitate the easy rotation of body 1. Thus the time required for calculation can be reduced, and also phase 4 among the heavenly bodies can be obtained assuredly.
