COMPOSITION FOR PREVENTION OF DENTAL CARIES AND FOR INHIBITION OF PROGRESS OF DENTAL CARIES

PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for the prevention of dental caries and inhibition of its progress, having excellent effect to inhibit the decalcification of adamasdentis caused by acid, by using a water-soluble hexafluorotitanic acid salt as an essential component. CONSTITUTION:A composition compristing a water-soluble hexafluorotitanic acid salt as an essential component for prevention of tooth decay and for inhibition of its progress. Li2TiF6, (NH4)2TiF6, CuTiF6, or SrTiF6 is used as water-soluble hexafluorotitanic acid, salt and esp. SrTiF6 is preferable. The content of F in the whole composition is preferably 0.01-5wt.%. The composition is made to an aqueous paste by use of water, glycerine, propylene glycol, macrogol, etc. and applied to the affected parts.
