PURPOSE:To prepare the title composition giving a molded article free of burr, by adding a specific epoxy resin to a glass-fiber reinforced polyester resin. CONSTITUTION:A composition composed of (A) 100 parts by weight of a linear saturated polyester (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate) having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.40-0.85 measured in o-chlorophenol at 35 deg.C, (B) 5-200 parts of glass fibers having fiber lengths of =0.2mm, and (C) 0.1-3 parts of an ester-type epoxy compound of formula (R is n-valent hydrocarbon group; n is =2), e.g. di-2,3- epoxypropanol ester of terephthalic acid. The compounding of the components can be carried out, e.g. by dry-blending the components, homogenizing the mixture by melting, and pelletizing the mixture. EFFECT:A molded article having excellent appearance can be obtained without using a burr-suppressing agent (e.g. montan wax salt).
