PURPOSE:To diverge material by extrusion onto the intended divergence route, by forcing thereof to the center away from the side of the main conveying course while converging by means of a shifter on both sides of the initial end of the main conveying course. CONSTITUTION:Shifters 15 and 16 are provided on the respective sides of the initial end of a main conveying course 1 to force conierging material to the center. With such an arrangement, when material with a small width converges onto the main conveying course 1 from a sub-conveying course 6, the shifter 15 is acutuated to force the material to the center of the main conveying course 1 through a push plate thereof without checking the forward movement of the material as it arrives in front of the shifter 15. For the sub-conveying course 7 too, likewise, the material can be forced to the center by the shifter 16.
