METHOD OF CONTROLLING PERENNIAL WEEDS AND COPSES

PURPOSE:The combination of a specific novel compound and known maleic hydrazide completely controls perennial weeds and copses in spite of small amounts. CONSTITUTION:Novel N-[2-(3-methylpyridyl)]aminomethylenediphosphonic acid of the foumula or its salt is combined with maleic hydrazide or its salt and perennial weeds and copses are treated with them for control. The combination increases herbicidal activity on the ground by synergism in spite of small amounts and further inhibits completely the regeneration from the underground.
