The combined spacer block and clip fixes twin e.g. metal sections together to form a compound section, and utilises two pivotable jaws by which it is wedged in position. Each section has two flanges defining a rectangular volume for block placement each flange returning shortly into a block groove. The jaws pivot about neck hinges on the opposite parallel edges of a base palte and are of an approx. rectangular section with a chamfered corner to facilitate installation. Once in the active position, the jaws sit flush on the base, and are held in this positon by tounges clipping under triangular section ribs.
