PORTABLE EQUIPMENT FOR TEH REGULATION OF THE TEMPERATURE OF ANIMAL SPERM, PARTICULARLY OF PIG SPERM

Controlling the temperature of animal sperm, especially pigs sperm for artificial insemination, where the cooled sperm ampoules at a temperature of 28 to 30 deg. are brought into a first temperature control chamber and then cooled for 6 to 8 hours to a temperature of 15 deg.C (+-) 1 deg.C. The sperm ampoules, during the transport 10 to 15 minutes before the insemination, are changed from the first chamber into a second chamber where they are so warmed to the insemination temperature of 30 deg.C that the local over-heating does not exceed the value of 35 deg.C.
