The barrier structure is for a parking place or an entrance, and has a barrier post (5) which is locked in a vertical usage position in relation to a ground-located base piece (1). In the non-use position, the post is virtually wholly pushed into the base piece, and can be completely removed from the base piece, or tipped through (+-) 90 deg. in relation to it. Both post and base have locking mechanisms (9) which are U-shaped, with the base of the U located vertically, and the legs pointing outwards, and its swivel axis is near the angle between the base and one of the legs. The locking mechanism is spring-loaded (11), the spring force being aided by the force of gravity.
