Biological sewage treatment - in final clarification basin subdivided in eight funnels inside aeration basin

The Parent Patent described a biological sewage treatment in which the final clarification basin surrounds the aeration basin and is connected it by a slot. This clarification basin is best subdivided into a number of individual funnels which have the shape of a truncated pyramid at the bottom and of a cube on top. The arrangement improves the slowdown of the fluid entering the final clarification. Any turbulence can be smoothed out in the zones between the funnels. The sludge between the funnels is kept in a more effective swirling flow.
