The sailing vessel has at least one mast (I) which incorporates fixtures for a sail and two booms (K, L) capable of movement in all directions. The mast is rotatable around its longitudinal axis enabling the sail to be wound around it, and the two booms each have a sail attached to them. They are pivotable in relation to one another between a spread position for sailing before the wind and one where they are located next to each other. An elastic traction boom (H) exerts a force on the part of each of the sails connected to the booms, and this in the direction of the boom end.
