The support construction is for a drawer of esp. a bureau, and is formed by guide profiles between each drawer side wall (3) and the casing into which the drawer fits. The drawer or the profile attached to it has a rear end roller (16) which is rotatable on a pin (17) located squarely on the drawer side wall. Each of the profiles connected to the casing, beyond the recess in which the drawer-connected roller is accommodated in the drawer closed position, has an upward running part where each of the rollers connected to the drawer moves, should the drawer be pushed in beyond the normal closed position.
