摘要

Process for producing an electrodeposit of tin or tin alloy, e.g. tin lead alloy, by passing electric current from an anode to a metal cathode through an aqueous acid tin or tin alloy electroplating solution with or without other metallic ions, e.g. lead ions, and having dissolved therein as a brightening agent, 2,5 dimethoxy benzaldehyde. The acid may be sulphuric and/or fluoboric acid. The solution may also contain as wetting or emulsifying agent a polyethoxylated alkyl phenol and/or an olefinic compound.
