1507057 Pressure vessels STATNI VYZKUMNY USTAV MATERIALU 3 Sept 1975 [3 Sept 1974] 36238/75 Heading F4P A pressure tank, e.g. for compressed or liquefied gases, comprises a hollow body 4 formed by reinforcing laminated winding and a plastics lining 1 for body 4, an annular reinforcing bush 2 being provided at the polar hole, and a first branch 1a of lining 1 being held between body 4 and bush 2 whilst the second branch 1b has a rim 3 engaging the inner side of bush 2. Rim 3 serves as a seal between the bush 2 and a pipe coupling threaded at 5 within bush 2. The body polar hole rim may be located in an annular external groove in the bush (Fig. 2, not shown), and the bush 2 may be integral with lining 1, the bush and lining having the same basic material composition but with the bush having a higher modulus of elasticity (Fig. 3, not shown). Several means of producing the tank are described, the preferred method being to form the lining and bush as a composite unit and then wind the body 4 thereonto.
