Abstract of the DisclosureA process for preparing improved solid lubricants,by modifying the surface characteristics of the solidlubricants using reactive chemical compounds, is disclosed.Prior art measures anticipate combinations ofmodifiers and solid lubricants as lubricating mixturesbut do not disclose bonding modifiers with solid lubricants.Examples of the improved modified solidlubricants are molybdenum disulfide chemically bondedto polystyrene, polymethylmethacrylate or polydimethylsiloxane.
