ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREThe present invention provides a novel process for the productionof photographic images by the exposure and development of a light-sensitivephotographic material containing at least one light-sensitive silver halideemulsion layer with an aromatic colour developer compound containing primaryamino groups in the presence of an oxaxolinone-2 compound which is mono-substituted or disubstituted in the 4- and/or 5- position, by a substituentor substituents which does not or do not interfere with the coupling of theoxazolinone-2 ring with the oxidized colour developer and which does not ordo not split off during the coupling reaction, the oxazolinone-2 being pre-sent in any of its tautomeric forms.
