PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SPECTACLE FRAMESUSING AN AGE-HARDENABLE NICKEL-BRONZE ALLOYAbstract of the DisclosureThere is disclosed a process for the production of aspectacle frame high in tensile strength and resistance topermanent set utilizing an age-hardenable nickel-bronze alloywhich is capable of being strengthened by a heat-aging treatmentstep such that the tensile strength and stiffness can besubstantially increased. The tendency for the frame to takea permanent set with the application of stress to the frame is,therefore, substantially reduced as compared to a similarspectacle frame not subjected to a heat-aging treatment stepor spectacle frames made of alloys which cannot be strengthenedby a heat-aging treatment.
