Use of a p-Aminobenzylpyrimidins of formula wherein R 'and R ^{2 is} a C _1-6 alkyl or C _2-6 alkenyl group and R ³ and R ⁴ are independently hydrogen, C _1-6 alkyl, C _2-6 alkenyl, or C _{2 -6} acyl or together with the N-atom to which they are attached form an optionally unsaturated 5-, 6- or 7 represent-membered heterocycle, or a physiologically acceptable salt of such a compound as potassium retinierendes agents and diuretic preparations with a content of such a compound and a potassium-ausschwemmenden diuretic.
