The outer guard means, capable of triggering a signal, has a fence under which it is not possible to dig and which is provided with a wire meshing, through which it is not possible to cut, and means which prevents anyone from climbing over. The latter has extensions (12) through which tensioning wires (13) pass. Said wires are connected, via at least one fastening point, in the interior of the extensions (12) to a sensor device (47, 48, 50, 51, 52, 53) which indicates transverse deflections. In the extensions (12) there are provided stops (44), between which the wires (13) can move axially to a limited extent without triggering a signal. This outer guard means can be used universally in terms of the gradients and geometry of the land. IMAGE
