The storage rack contains a large number of chambers. The outer walls (3) of these chambers each consist of two equal-sided angled plates, whereas the inner walls (2) are formed by a closed square tube. Plates are mounted between these walls to screen the radiating fuel elements. The chambers are held at a fixed distance from one another by a grid of longitudinally and transversely extending grid rods (5, 6). The grid rods of the corners of the storage rack have holes into which bolts of crosswise shackles can be driven. By means of these crosswise shackles, a plurality of storage racks can be connected to each other and, via linkages, fixed on rails. IMAGE
