The cross-bar block comprises two insulating mouldings (1) with recesses to hold the cross connecting nails (2) and slots to take the interconnecting plugs (4). The nails are arranged in two planes and cross at right angles. The moulding halves press together to locate the nails. - At the edges of the mouldings are grooves (14) to hold the ends of the nails which are bent through 90 deg. where they emerge from the respective moulding. The spacing between nails matches conventional circuit board conductor spacing. The nail ends project below the block for connection to a circuit board.
