The correction current generator produces a V-shaped current for S-correction in a vertical deflection circuit for a television receiver. The sawtooth deflection voltage (11) is applied via a first signal path (14) to the base of a transistor (17) and via a second path (15) to its emitter circuit. - The transistor's collector output current (the correction current) is subtracted from the charging current flowing through a resistor (20) and a charging a capacitor (2). At least one of the two paths contains a circuit, e.g. a diode, for suppressing one of the two halves of the sawtooth.
