The pallet comprises a load carrying plate (10) in resiliently compressible materila and a number of feet (11) extending downwards and distributed over the entire pallet area. The plate is provided with openings into which the upper ends of the feet fit. - Each foot has a flange (17) supporting the underside of the plate and projection (26) which deform the plate material when the foot is inserted in the opening. The projections are formed as vertical ribs with outwardly converging profile which are spaced around the foot. Each foot has an angular-section cavity (15) and is eccentric relative to the flange.
