Reversible heat exchanger - single block change-over and non-return valves improve plant operation and gas losses

A reversible heat exchanger fitted with change over valve on its high temp. side and a non return valve on its low temp. side, whereby both valves accommodate two independent gas passages for fresh air and waste gas which are changed by altering the position of the valve plate arrangement of the change over valve only. The non return valve consists of 3 valve chambers separated by 2 parting walls, 4 valve plates arranged symmetrically to the centre of the central valve chamber and 5 gas parts. The control valve consists of 3 valve chambers, two valve plates arranged on a concentric shaft with pneumatic actuating means and 5 gas parts. Valve standardisation improves plant operation, shortens change-over sequences, reduces gas losses, as well as plant and installation costs and space.
