The process control system, for a computer controlled telephone exchange allows data about subscriber stations to be called up from storage and displayed on screens, at fault clearing positions. Calls which lead to a fault clearing position automatically release the identity of the calling station. The calling number thus obtained is used to automatically obtain subscriber fault clearing data from display. The system can also be used for recording applications from new subscribers. The recording and setting-up data for this new subscriber are called up from storage.
