Textile web ornamenting appts. having a roller immersed partially in an inking trough and depositing the ink on an inclined drip board is provided at the trailing edge of the drip board with a number of troughs which are movable in the vertical plane between a location in which the trough deposits the ink on the moving web and a location at which it deposits the ink into a catch trough. Used for selective ornamenting of textile webs.
