The anti-tank gun comprises a case containing one or more secondary shells and a stand for erecting the gun manually on the ground. The shells take up a horizontal position when the gun is erected, and are fired by an ignition device. The case includes a servo-controlled elevating and traversing mechanism, and a firing mechanism; the latter consists of a sensor-controlled locating device for objects moving along the ground, a device for evaluation information and controlling the servo mechanism, and a device for triggering the ignition device. The shells are fired when the information corresponds to the alignment of the case. The locating device may consist of a passive optical sensor which scans the environment line-by-line via a mirror, or a faceted lens assembly.
