The detachable connection for covering-slabs or panels laid close together in esp. suitable for use with a ground covering to be used as a temporary or emergency roadwaya semi-circular shackle joining a pair of slabs together introduced into quarter-circular recesses running out from the slabs' top edges, comprising a groove and a locking slot, filled by half of a securing unit laid in two complementary slots. This securing unit (7) is panel-shaped, with ribs (10, 11) on both sides (8, 9)top area there are two interfacing lugs (21, 21') running the opposite way, vertically to the ribs and the ends (23, 23') of the shackle (3) are fitted with recesses (22, 22') corresponding to the lugs, on their inner side. Firm connection, standing up to all forms of stress, is achieved by simple means.
