Horizontal roller exchange installation - has frame sections subdivided and capable of transverse adjustment

The roller exchange installation is used for horizontal rollers fitted with rubber or plastic coverings which are pressed onto the metal band being processed. The roller frame (3) can be divided into frame sections (4, 5) with one section carrying the rollers (9, 10) and the other carrying the counter-rotating bearings (23, 24). These frame sections (4, 5) are adjustable and/or movable transverse to the direction of band movement with that section (4) carrying the rollers (9, 10) fitted with a collecting device (16) for each roller end being freed during the changover process of those roller or rollers located over the metal band (6).
