A strip is cut out from the screen (3) and this strip is bent away from the cable (1) and its free end is connected to a cable (8) which is connected to an earthed objects. The end of the earth cable and the end of the cut-out strip are tightly pressed together by a clmping sleeve (6). This clamping sleeve is 'C' shaped or is of annular cross-section, wit an oblique slit connecting the inside space with the outside to provide access for the screen. The insulation (4) is cut to permit the tongue or strip to be pulled out for insertion in the clamping sleeve (6).
