The sieve feed mechanism, esp. for mine works, contains a frame with guides in which two endless traction chains (18, 19) are mounted for rolling movement and are fitted with supporting elements forming a grid wherein the moving faces of the endless chains (18, 19) and the moving face of the large-size granules lie mainly in one plane. The supporting elements are rigidly fastened in each link of the chains (18, 19) as grid bars (21), the unfastened ends of which face each other along the operative bands of the chains. A longitudinal beam (15) is mounted locally fixed between the operative faces of the traction chains (18), (19) at a uniform distance from same in the direction of movement of the granules so that the grid bars (21) are located directly adjacent the beam (15) whre they then form a grid together with the beam.
