The conveyor has a driven endless roller chain from which are suspended a number of storage container(9). The containers(9) are suspended from holders(5) which are also links in the chain. An additional chain link(4) with rollers(3) is positioned between every two holders(5). The additional chain link(4) is joined to the two adjacent holders(5) by means of connections(10). The junction points for the connections(10) are situated on a curve itself inside a curve passing through the axes of the rollers(3) of the chain(1). The chain(1) is driven by an octagonal drive sheet(2) with alternate long and short sides. The long sides have cavities in to take the rollers(3). The rollers(3) run on the tread on the outside of the circumference of the chain drive wheel(2). The containers may be used in cold stores or for storing medicines or cans.
