Overtaking signal facility for car - has optic sensor to cover mirror dead space and optic fibre coupling to dashboard indicator

The offside of the car is fitted with a rearwards facing sensor(1) to cover the dead angle in the driving mirror. The light from a following vehicle is collected and passed to a dashboard indicator by a fibre optic cable so that the driver has a clear indication of the following vehicle. For improved results, an intensifier is included in the cable while a lens is set in front of the sensor.
